Portraits
2019-26My earliest memories of photography are rooted in the staged environments of Indian portrait photo studios, where the process felt like a scripted play—a silent, rigid performance that was as unnatural as it was fascinating. Even then, I knew I wanted to be on the other side of the lens. Today, I work to dismantle that traditional formality. I view every session as a collaboration; I am not looking for a pose, but for an authentic dialogue between the performer and the lens.
